I was browsing for apps in the Windows 8 store and tried installing some apps just for the sake of finding out the look and feel of downloading and running these so-called Metro apps. I did install the game, eventually, but for a different reason. So, when Angry Birds and Star Wars started posting the same contents in my news feed (I liked both their pages on FB), I had zero interest in the announcement of a crossover game merging the two universes. I didn’t even bother checking out Space anymore, or even the spinoff game Bad Piggies. I am keeping the original and Seasons, but uninstalled Rio because I’m still working on the first two and wonder if I will ever finish them, considering that I have two more level sets in the original and is stuck in the 2011 levels for Seasons. But outside of the game, I wonder how far can Rovio stretch the game before the formula snaps. Granted, I would still fire away the original game on a rest day and before long, I would have realized I have burned away hours into the game, painstakingly abusing the refresh button to unlock three stars in each level. The game that's been extremely popular game on Android and iOS is also highly addictive in its Windows version. To be honest, I’m already getting burned out with Angry Birds. Conclusion: Simple concept, high addiction factorĪngry Birds brings a simple but addictive physics puzzle with nice graphics and a somewhat oblique story to Windows computers. The same old sound effects are present - which can be a bit annoying at times. Funny cartoon graphicsĪs ever, the cartoon-style graphics in Angry Birds are simple but nicely designed and full of witty details. If possible, you want to hit the maximum number of pigs with the minimum number of birds that's how you'll progress through the levels quickly. In Angry Birds you use the mouse to determine the flight angle and try to hit the enemy directly, or you can bring the fortresses above the pigs crashing down. In total there are 120 levels of play - plenty of time to fire the Angry Birds by slingshot at the green pigs. In fact, they're so angry that they present themselves to the player as kamikaze fighters with a red-hot vendetta.
